An Affordable Boutique Hotel in West Los Angeles: Hotel Angeleno

For the first night of my LA Weekend Trip, my girls and I stayed at Hotel Angeleno. Hotel Angeleno is a boutique hotel located right off the 405 and is about a 20 minute ride from LAX depending on traffic. We booked this hotel on Hotel Tonight and paid less than $200 for a one-night stay.

Rooms

Our hotel room was nice, but was a little small for the three of us.

There was also only one mirror in the bathroom, which made it difficult for us to get ready. However, the bathroom was clean and we worked through the lack of space.

Location

This hotel is great  if you are visiting UCLA or the Getty Center. We ubered to Westwood quite frequently to shop and eat. Keep in mind, that there are no restaurants or shops next to the hotel. You'll need to either drive or catch a ride. However, Westwood dining and shops were only a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel. Our wait for UBER rides was always 5 minutes or less.

Amenities

The hotel has a complimentary shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off anywhere in a 3 mile radius including Century City.

There's also a complimentary wine hour everyday from 5:30-6:30pm.

It was a little to chilly to swim in the pool but the hotel's pool area is very nice. There's also a small gym behind the pool area.

I also liked the coffee bar on the hotel's first floor.

You can order drinks and snacks at the poolside pick-up window.

Final Thoughts

Hotel Angeleno is a nice pick for the price and location near UCLA. If you plan on visiting the Getty Center the location is great. The complimentary shuttle was extremely convenient and allowed my group to save money on UBER rides. I'd stay at this hotel again, if I was traveling with only 1 other companion. However, we only stayed at this hotel for one night so we were able to make the small room work.

This hotel was the only hotel out of 3 that did not accommodate an early check-in. However, they offered to hold our luggage. The valet staff was also great at providing suggestions on things to do in the area.
