Brunch is serious business. Before the weekend even hits, I'm already thinking about where I'm going to eat brunch. I recently visited Hash House A Go Go's Plano location and was not disappointed. If you're serious about breakfast or brunch then you must add this restaurant to your list. Hash House A Go Go is all about serving twisted farm food. The portion sizes are huge and the presentation is epic. I tried various items from their menu during a recent media preview. Below are a few items that you should consider ordering during your visit.
Lord have mercy. This dish is a game changer. I felt a rush of warm thoughts about my childhood come over me with every bite. I never knew that Biscuits and Gravy could taste so good. The mashed potatoes served underneath are a nice addition to the gravy.
Andy's Sage Fried Chicken-Benedict
You may remember seeing this dish featured on an episode of Man v. Food. Believe the hype. This dish features fresh spinach, hardwood smoked bacon, market tomato, griddled mozzarella, chipotle cream and scrambled eggs. This is my favorite dish on the menu. The Sausage Gravy comes in a close second.
Griddled French Toast
This French Toast is dipped in a banana cinnamon cream with pecans and maple syrup. If you're a fan of french toast, you will love it.
Red Velvet Waffle
I love Red Velvet anything. I was pretty stoked when I saw these waffles on the menu. They were fluffy, moist, and melt in your mouth delicious.
Andy's Sage Fried Chicken
I had another O-M-G moment when this plate came out. There's no need for me to explain the details. Just order it. It tastes as epic as it looks.
I had no idea that a Banana Pancake could taste so good!
When dining at Hash House A Go Go strategy is involved. The portion sizes are insanely large so you can easily share with a friend. I recommend that everyone order a different item, so you can taste a variety of items on the menu.
If you're planning a visit on the weekends expect a long wait time. However, the brunch menu is available all day and wait times during the week are a lot less shorter.
***Disclosure*** I received complimentary menu items during a private Media Dinner at Hash House A Go Go. All opinions expressed are my own.
