I love visiting Austin, Texas. There's so much to see and do between the incredible culinary, nature, and music scene. There are plenty of hotels to choose in the Downtown corridor. During my recent visit, I wanted to have a tranquil, yet fun stay that wasn't too far from the action in Austin.

Over the past eight days many of you have noticed that I've been absent. I've been MIA from comment pods, haven't posted any photos on Instagram, and my blog has been very quiet. Some of you have even sent me texts about my whereabouts.

Over the weekend, my hubby and I headed up to Oklahoma City to check out the local food scene. Before I head out on trips, I do research to see what the popular dining spots are. It's mind boggling! Waffle Champion is the undisputed waffle champ of OKC. There's usually a line but the wait is well worth it.

What You Need to Know Before Building Your First Home: Part 1
